Plot: The early years of James Logan, featuring his rivalry with his brother Victor Creed, his service in the special forces team Weapon X, and his experimentation into the metal-lined mutant Wolverine.
The Expendables 2 brings together some of the biggest names in action cinema for an explosive mission filled with revenge, heavy firepower and old-school action. Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and his team are sent to Albania to recover a valuable item, only to become involved in a much larger threat when they discover that the mission is connected to a stash of weapons-grade plutonium.
Their mission puts them directly in the path of Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme), a ruthless and charismatic arms dealer with plans that could put the world at risk. After Vilain kills one of The Expendables, the mission becomes personal. Barney and his team set out to stop Vilain and prevent the plutonium from falling into the wrong hands.
Along the way, they receive help from some familiar faces, while the film delivers exactly what fans of the franchise expect: spectacular action sequences, explosive set pieces, witty one-liners and plenty of camaraderie between its legendary cast.

Scott as Hector
For Scott Adkins, The Expendables 2 was a particularly important opportunity. He plays Hector, the right-hand man of Jean Vilain and one of the film’s most dangerous villains.
Hector is responsible for keeping Vilain’s work camp under control. He rules through intimidation and violence, making sure the workers maintain the required pace. His presence immediately establishes him as someone the workers have every reason to fear. Let’s just say that having Hector as your boss would be a very bad career move.
Adkins brings a physical intensity to the character that makes Hector stand out, even among a cast packed with established action stars. He doesn’t need much screen time to make an impression. His cold demeanor, physical presence and ruthless attitude immediately establish him as a serious threat.
One of the most memorable aspects of Hector’s role is his connection with the other action stars. His confrontation with Jason Statham is particularly noteworthy, bringing together two highly respected martial arts and action performers. Later in the film, the two cross paths again, leading to one of the movie’s most anticipated fights.

Sharing the screen with Action Legends
The cast of The Expendables 2 reads like a who’s who of action cinema. Alongside Sylvester Stallone and Jean-Claude Van Damme are Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris.
For Scott Adkins, appearing alongside so many of the actors who helped define the action genre was undoubtedly a significant moment in his career. These were the stars whose movies had inspired generations of action fans, and now Adkins was sharing the screen with them.
What makes his appearance even more impressive is that Hector doesn’t simply disappear into the background. Adkins gives the character enough presence to stand out among some of the biggest names in Hollywood action cinema.
Jean-Claude Van Damme is equally memorable as Jean Vilain. His performance combines charisma with menace, making Vilain a villain who is both entertaining and genuinely dangerous. As his right-hand man, Hector provides the physical brutality that complements Vilain’s calculated personality.

An important moment for Scott
By 2012, Scott Adkins had already established himself as one of the most talented martial artists and action performers of his generation. His role as Hector gave him the opportunity to reach an even larger international audience and demonstrate his abilities alongside some of the genre’s most iconic stars.
The Expendables 2 may belong to Stallone, Statham, Van Damme and the other established action legends, but Scott Adkins makes sure that Hector is remembered.
For fans of Adkins, it is a great example of what makes him such an exciting action performer. He brings speed, power, precision and intensity to every scene, while proving that he can hold his own when sharing the screen with the legends who helped shape the genre.
The Expendables 2 is ultimately a celebration of classic action cinema: larger-than-life characters, explosive battles, memorable one-liners and an ensemble of action stars from different generations. And among that impressive lineup, Scott Adkins’ Hector stands out as one of the film’s most memorable villains.
