Plot: A burned-out professional sniper finds himself trapped in an all-glass penthouse by a lethal competitor and must find a way to survive and escape with little to no cover between him and the killer.
Take Cover follows Sam (played by Adkins), a hitman and sniper. On his final job, Sam accidentally kills an innocent bystander, which causes him to question his actions and decide to leave the world of contract killing. But before he can quit, he accepts one last assignment. During this mission, Sam finds himself trapped in a penthouse, where he and his partner Ken become the targets of a hit. Sam must fight to survive in the confined space, with very little cover.

Action and more Action
The film is packed with dynamic, well-choreographed action sequences, ranging from intense hand-to-hand combat to shootouts, with the penthouse setting adding tension. The chemistry between Adkins and co-star Jack Parr, who plays Ken, adds a “buddy dynamic” reminiscent of classic action duos, bringing a lighter tone to the film.
Alice Eve plays Tamara, Sam’s antagonist, with an icy calm that heightens the suspense. While the plot is fairly straightforward, Take Cover delivers exactly what Adkins fans expect: action, action, and more action. There are also inventive scenes, such as Adkins’ fight with a drone, making the film an enjoyable watch. For Adkins fans, seeing Scott in a leading role in a solid action film is always a win.
